Relocating to Lakeland
Like many who live here in Central Florida, I was born "up north." My husband and I moved to Florida from Minnesota after a particularly harsh winter, and we love it here in Lakeland!
Close to Everything, Next to Perfect
That is Lakeland's slogan, and it's true. Lakeland is a city with all of the everyday amenities you'd expect. Many of our residents work in nearby Orlando or Tampa, but Lakeland is no "suburb," it's a thriving community with its own identity and history. But, less than an hour away are some of the world's most popular destinations: Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World...not to mention two major international airports! And the beautiful beaches of the Gulf or Atlantic coasts are less than two hours away. No wonder we love it here!
Real Estate as a Career
Real estate is my third career, and I expect it will be my last, because it's the best job for me! Previously I was a newspaper reporter, and then a software and web site developer. This is the perfect job for me, because it combines the skills of my previous careers, but adds the component of working with lots of motivated people--my customers, and my fellow Realtors.
